Susan graduated from Columbia Theological Seminary and was ordained as a Minister of the Word and Sacrament in 1997. She spent several years as a hospice, nursing home, and hospital chaplain, and was training to be a supervisor in Clinical Pastoral Education when she accepted a call to Norris Lake Presbyterian Church in Snellville, where she served as Pastor for three years. For the past seven years, Susan has been an Associate Pastor at North Avenue Presbyterian Church in midtown Atlanta, specializing in Congregational Care and Discipleship. She leaves North Avenue to serve Stockbridge Presbyterian Church as Pastor.
Susan accepted the call to Stockbridge with much joy and excitement, and feels blessed to serve such a strong, healthy church with a long and vital history, and great promise for the future. She is looking forward to getting to know and love each congregation member, and to learning more and more about the spirit and ministry of Stockbridge Church.
Susan is married to Michael Bennett and they live in Tucker, along with their two ninety-pound lap dogs, Gypsy and Bea.
